Introduction

The institute of oral medicine at the Hospital of Stomatology, Shandong University is one of the biggest and a multidisciplinary institute, including Cariology and Endodontics, Periodontology, Oral mucosa Diseases, Pedodontics and Oral preventive medicine.

There are 62 faculties in the institute, including 11 professors, 9 associate professors and other medical staff. All doctors possess doctoral or master's degree. The department has 7 doctoral supervisors and 13 master supervisors, and offers doctoral and master program for more than 20 postgraduates every year. Under the guidance of experienced advisors, the students could lay a solid foundation for scientific research as well as clinical skills.

Learningandworkingexperience:

She graduated from Shandong Medical University in 2000 with a master's degree. She graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2005 with a Ph.D. In 2010-2011, she was a visiting scholar at the Royal Tooth School of the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Clinical expertise:

She is good at diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases and dental pulp diseases, especially in the treatment of moderate to severe periodontitis.

Yang,Pishan

Learningandworkingexperience:

He graduated from the Department of Stomatology, Shanghai Second Medical College in 1982 with a bachelor's degree. In 1987, he obtained a master's degree in medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University School of Stomatology. From 1987 to present, he is engaged in oral science teaching and clinical research at StomatologySchool of Shandong University. In 2015, he was employed as a well-known expert in Stomatological Hospital of Shandong University.

Clinical expertise:

He is good at diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and difficult dental diseases, multidisciplinary treatment design for complex periodontal diseases, comprehensive treatment, basic treatment of severe periodontitis, regenerative surgery, and implant restoration treatment and maintenance.

Sun,Qinfeng

In June 1990, he graduated from the Department of Stomatology of Shandong Medical University with a bachelor's degree. In June 2001, he obtained a master's degree from Shandong University. In June 2010, he graduated from Shandong University with a doctorate degree. Since July 1990, he has worked in the Stomatological Hospital of Shandong University. He is currently engaged in the clinical treatment of periodontal disease.

Song,Hui

Hui Song is a Professor/Chief Doctor in VIP Clinics in the Hospital and School of Stomatology, Shandong University. She is a master’s supervisor as well as a doctoral supervisor in Oral medicine. She got her PhD degree in 2008 from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and a MD degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 2010. She is now the vice Dean of the Hospital and School. She also acts as the Deputy Director of the Association of Geriatric Dentistry, and the standing member of the Association of General Dentistry and the Association of Stomatology of Shandong Province.

She has been working in the Hospital and School since graduating from Shandong Medical University in 1991. She focuses her research interest on the anti-inflammatory and osteogenic effect of gas molecules.She has published numbers of scientific papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals with the support of scientific research fund. In clinical, she specializes in general dentistry, including the treatment of caries, apical periodontitis, periodontitis, tooth extraction, and related surgery. Espcially, she takes the lead nationally in the treatment of periodontitis by applying perioscopy.

Chief Physician, Master's Supervisor, and Specialist Director of Qilu Stomatological Hospital of Shandong University.

From 1997 to 2002, she studied at the School of Stomatology, Wuhan University. She graduated in 2002 and received her Ph.D.

From 2007 to 2008, she was a visiting scholar at the School of Dentistry of San Antonio Medical Center in Texas State University. In 2013, she visited the Department of Dentistry of the University of Japan.
