OrthodonticTeaching andResearchInstituteof Shandong University is the orthodontic academic exchange centerof Shandong Province and undertakes professional theoretical,experimentalandclinicalteaching tograduate students, undergraduate students, standardized training studentsandadvanced students in the School of Stomatology, Shandong University. Theinstitutewasauthorizedto provide programfor doctor degree of Orthodontic bythe State Councilof China in 2003.

Theinstituteiscomposed of22 outstanding teachers, including6professors and 6associate professors. Among them, 10 teachers have the Ph.D degree, 5 teachers have theoverseas study experienceover 1 year and 6 teachers have postdoctoral experience. There are 6doctoral supervisors , 7master supervisors and 2“Young Experts ofTaishan scholars”in thisinstitute. For years, theinstitutehas committed totraining and educatingtalents for the society, includingover 500 orthodontists, over 300 graduate students.

Theinstitutehas establishedcooperative relationshipwith many well-known colleges,universities and research institutions at home and abroad, such asUCLA,USC,SUNY-Buffalo,UNLin U.S.A,UvAinNetherlands,NUin Japan, KNU in South Korea and so on. Theinstituteholdsnational academic conferences and sends teachers and students tocommunicatewith otheruniversitiesevery year. Theinstitutehad got over 30nationaland provincial projects,publishedover 300 SCI papers and obtainedmanyprovincial scientific researchawards.
