The undergraduate education atthe School ofStomatologyof Shandong University currently includes a traditional 5-year Bachelor degree program and a consecutive (5+3)-year Bachelor & Master degree program.

5-year program (Bachelor degree)

About 50 students are enrolled on the 5-year Bachelor program every year. The curriculum of the program includes 4 years of coursestudyand 1 year of dental clinical training. The goal of the program is to allow students to acquire advanced knowledge, skills and professionalism through the comprehensive education of modern dentistry. Students are trained to be general dentists after graduation.

(5+3)-year program (Bachelor & Master degrees)

The (5+3)-year program is a joint clinical Master degree program. About 30 students are enrolled each year. The curriculum of the program includes the 5-year Bachelor coursework and training, followed by 3 yearsoffurther advanced dental clinical/ basic research training. The goal of this program is to train students to become dental specialists as well as clinical scientistsof stomatology.

Our school is currently undergoing progressive innovation and globalization. Students will build their scientific knowledge throughsystematic course study. Preclinical training in asimulation laboratory equipped withworld-class facilities helps students develop clinical skills for state-of-the-artdiagnosis and treatment.
