1. General Infomation：
Shandong ProvincialKey Laboratory of Oral Tissue Regeneration is one of the key laboratories in Shandong University. It has been put into use since 2003 andhas been relocated to Jinan Pharmaceutical Valleysince 2016.
The laboratory covers an area of 3200 square meters. It has six main functional experimental platforms, including molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, histomorphology, animal center and precision equipment.
The total cost of laboratory equipment is about 12 million Yuan.The lab possesses 8 pieces of large equipmentwhich costmore than 100,000 Yuan. Other precious instruments include two Roche real-time quantitative PCR instruments, hard tissue cutting system, BD flow cytometer, GE multicolor fluorescence imager, Millipore ultrapure water system, DG250 anaerobic workstation, and large mouse IVC feeding system. The staffs regularly conduct technical training and examination to ensure everything work well.
The laboratory implements the PI responsible system. It has astudio for Fu Xiaobing, who is a famous academician of China. There are 38 regular scientific researchers, including one top-notch youngscholar in the National "Ten Thousands Plan", three people who enjoy special allowances from the State Council, one specialist of Taishan scholars of Shandong Province and so on. We have 18 professors, 2 researchers, 2 chief physicians, 14 associate professors and 2 deputy chief physicians. The laboratory formed an academic committee headed byProfessorZhiyuan Zhan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
The laboratory implements the rule of “open, competitive and dynamic operation” and sets up "OpenResearch Projects" to deepen scientific research almost every year.
